Getting To Labuan

Although Labuan may seem to be an isolated islands on the South China Sea, it is not far from mainland borneo, Sabah, Brunei and Sarawak. it is well connected with various places of Malaysia as well as several other neighboring countries. There are both regular air and water way connections to the main island of Labuan.

However there are no road or rail connections from Borneo mainland all the way up to Labuan as the island is several miles offshore. If you you plan to road transport then you will first need to come to Menumbok which is the nearest town to Labuan. and then take a ferry or boat services to reach Labuan.

By Air

BY SEA

Thera are regular express ferry service from Kota Kinabalu, Menumbok, Lawas, Limbang, and Sipitang. There is also Ferry for car too.


BY ROAD


There is no road connection to an island, but you may want to take a bus to Menumbok which is the nearest to Labuan, then take a boat express for about 25 minutes to Labuan.
